Day 2 – Panama City Tour and visit to the Canal - Duration: half day.

The historic center of Panama City, Casco Antiguo, the location to which the settlement was moved after the destruction of the original location. In 2003, Casco Antiguo was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and with its mix of architectural styles, including Caribbean, Republican, Art Deco, French, and Colonial, this area has become the second most popular destination in Panama. After this visit continue to Miraflores Locks, the first set of locks located on the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Here you have the opportunity to view the lock in operation and watch in amazement as over 20 million gallons of water are transferred in less than 10 minutes.

Day 3 – Authentic Embera Indian Village Tour - Duration: half day.

Meals:  B-Light snack prepared by the Indians.

This tour was designed for you to step aboard a time machine and travel back more than 600 years; to a Central America only few have had the privilege of experiencing. More than a tour, this is a journey into the lives of the Emberá Indian Tribe. A proud people, who have been able to

maintain their traditions and lifestyle as it was before the Spaniards colonized the region. In the Village, the Chief will welcome you with traditional Emberá hospitality. A series of dances have been arranged to add to this cultural exchange. Feel free to wonder the village, ask questions or interact with these quiet people. Please remember that we are guests in their home and a good measure of common sense and sensitivity towards their privacy is appreciated.

Day 4 -Train tour to Colon and visit to San Lorenzo National Park

Duration: half day plus transfer to Playa Blanca - Meals: B-L.

The Panama Railroad was first built in 1855 and then rebuilt in 1909 during construction of the Panama Canal. For many years the railway provided an invaluable link between the Atlantic and Pacific. Your journey will begin in Colon on the Atlantic, running southeast toward Balboa on the Pacific.

After the train ride you will continue to The Panama Canal Expansion, the largest project at the Canal since its original construction. The new Observation Center of the Canal Expansion, located in Colon Panama, is a park style concept based on open platforms and roofed terraces, built in an area of four hectares, 400 visitors, simultaneously, will be able to enjoy in this new center, the construction of the new locks of the Panama Canal in the Atlantic, at the same time, from its privileged location, visitors see the majestic Gatun Lake, where ships continue their transit through the waterway. This day will finish at the Sheraton Bijao at Playa Blanca. Lunch included in local venue on the way to the Playa Blanca.

Day 5 –Eco Cruise on Gatun Lake and Aerial Tram

Duration: full day. - Meals: B-L.

The Gatun Lake was formed as a result of the damming of the Chagres River during the construction of the Panama Canal. Wild life abounds on this area, including various species of monkeys, sloths, anteaters, iguanas and a variety of birds. You and your interpretive guide will slowly cruise the back channels, island and bays that make up this unique ecosystem where we will try to discover many of the wildlife residents of the area in their natural habitat. Cameras are a must as this is considered the world’s premier location for viewing monkeys in the wild. The Gamboa Rainforest Resort is a five star hotel, which is located in the vicinity of the historic Chagres River, alongside the Panamá Canal, in the midst of the fifty five thousand acre Soberanía National Park. Within this spectacular setting, the Aerial Tram has been constructed, allowing you to discover the secrets of the upper forest canopy. Each gondola takes you from the shadowy forest floor through the under story and into the sun-drenched canopy. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of a thousand hues of green, interspersed with the fluorescent exclamation points of flowering trees.
