The Arenal area is the perfect spot for nature and adrenaline lovers. Being one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Arenal Volcano is truly an amazing and burning show that has been witnessed by thousands of people from around the globe.

Arenal Volcano Hike Tour (by J.M)

The Arenal Volcano tour starts with a drive to the active Western side of the volcano. Once there you will embark on a hike on a trail, which traverses the rainforest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992.  It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations.  Once on the top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the Arenal Lake.

The hike ends up at a viewpoint, where if the weather allows, you will be able to feel and see the different factors that makes the Arenal an active Volcano.  During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at the mineral hot spring.  (Stop at hot springs is optional, entrance fee not included).


Horseback Ride to the Waterfall (bz J.M)

Horseback Riding to La Fortuna Waterfall tour, start the horseback ride through our 560 hectare (1400 acre) farm at an elevation of 400 meter (1200 ft.) MSL, accompanied by a professional and bilingual guide, riding a well trained horse accustomed to inexperienced and experienced riders alike, you will enjoy this adventure.


Sky Trek – Ultimate Zip Lines

Sky Trek is a thrilling zip line circuit that’s located in both of our parks, Monteverde and La Fortuna. Your tour will start riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

Sky Limit – An Adrenaline Challenge

Sky Limit is a high performance circuit that combines a high ropes course, zip lines, canyoning, rappel, Tarzan swing, bridges and many challenging activities in the heart of the rainforest. Sky Limit begins with an ascent in our aerial tram Sky Tram, to then start a circuit – that can also serve for competition – consisting of twin zip lines, and other defiant challenges as it is walking a tightrope, descending a ladder hanging on trees and other activities in which you will need all your skills and insticts.

Sky Walk – Nature Inspiring Tree Top Walk

Sky Walk uses trails and a series of suspension bridges for a more relaxing introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a hike on the ground and then taking you to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide.

Kayak on Arenal Lake (by J.M)

Depart from La Fortuna at 8:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to enjoy a pleasant day of kayaking on Lake Arenal and breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano.


After a short drive, you will get to the Arenal Lake. Our guides will give you the equipment such as life jacket and a paddle. Then the tour begins with an orientation to paddling. You will learn basic paddle strokes, safety and rules of the water.


Once on the water, our guides will lead you along the shoreline for an incredible view of the volcano. On your journey you may observe different species of birds like the Great Blue Heron, Kingfisher, Flycatcher, Anhinga and may also possibly hear the Howler Monkey

Desafio Arenal COMBO Tour: Ziplining + Rafting Class 2 and 3

Hiking To Rio Celeste (by J.M)

Hiking To Rio Celeste tour, we leave early in route to Rio Celeste, we’ll arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we’ll begin our 5 miles hike (approximately 4 hours) through the tropical rain forest. We’ll arrive “Los Teñideros” of the Rio Celeste, the site where two streams of crystalline water come together and form the heavenly color blue that gives the river its name.

Venado Caves (by J.M)

You will take through a labyrinth of passages and chambers in which you will see an interesting rock formation called La Papaya stalactites, stalagmites, bats, spiders and proof that the caves were at one time at the bottom of the ocean.  The caves are located only 45 minutes from La Fortuna.
